How To Update PHP Options On Hosting Panel

Sometimes, you may want to change individual options within a particular PHP version. Today, we’re gonna show you how to update these PHP options within your Shared Hosting service via the ‘PHP Selector‘ tool. To get started, log in to your cPanel account.

Then navigate to the ‘Exclusive for Namecheap Customers‘ section and click ‘Select PHP version‘. Please note that the Dashboard layout may vary depending on the set cPanel theme. Having opened the ‘PHP Selector‘, switch to the ‘Options’ tab.

Update PHP Options

You’ll then see a list of the available PHP options. To see a brief explanation of each option, simply hover your mouse over the corresponding checkbox or parameter field. To enable or disable PHP options, just check or uncheck the corresponding boxes.

To update the needed parameter, simply edit its field. And that’s it! You’ve successfully updated your PHP options. Remember that you can always revert to the default settings by simply clicking ‘Reset to default‘.

Please also be aware that if you previously used a ‘php.ini‘ file for editing your account ‘PHP configuration‘, you’ll need to replicate the custom values using the ‘PHP Selector‘ tool. So that’s it for this session.
